Join the Wilderness Torah Community to learn, connect, and build resilience through Jewish learning, nature connection, hands-on creativity and spiritual practice. Offerings are hosted by Wilderness Torah’s core community members, as well as renowned leaders who have helped shape the earth-based Jewish movement across the globe. Session Topics include: Torah study, Kabbalah, ancient teachings and interpretations, Hitbodedut (solo nature time), primitive skills, and easy-to-do-at-home nature-based crafts, live music, singing, prayer, movement, meditation, embodiment practices.
In these uncertain times of Social Distancing and Shelter in Place, Wilderness Torah is looking to the non-human world and the natural rhythms of the earth and asking: What can this time teach us?
Wilderness Torah reconnects individuals and communities to the ancient, earth-based Jewish heritage, sparking transformative Jewish experiences that build community, strengthen Jewish identity, and inspire communities to care for our precious world. It trains leaders across the planet in how to awaken earth-based Judaism through village-building community and youth programs. Wilderness Torah envisions creating a thriving rural Center for Earth-Based Judaism near the Bay Area, a land base that functions as a community center, permaculture village, and a permanent home for local programs and our work educating and training people from across the Jewish world.
