Judaism Unbound is an expansive and radically inclusive digital-first Jewish organization for dissatisfied but hopeful people who want to discover innovative Jewish ideas, practices, and communities, or who want to engage in a quest to find their own unique philosophies of Judaism and paths to living a Jewish life. Judaism Unbound imagines a Jewish future full of “Unbounders” who will develop transformative toolboxes for Jewish engagement, experiment with Jewish theory and practice, and craft new links in the chain of tradition, ultimately bringing about new versions of Judaism that awaken and sustain the universal aspiration to live a meaningful life.

Judaism Unbound begins with the notion that education is the precursor to agency and innovation. We believe that studying Jewish texts, immersing in Jewish wisdom, and experiencing Jewish practice through the lens of innovation empowers us to create Jewish lives of purpose and Jewish communities that resonate with our deepest aspirations. Judaism Unbound’s podcasts and the classes in our UnYeshiva Center for Jewish Learning and Unlearning, feature leading thinkers and practitioners engaged in bold and sometimes even transgressive spiritual innovation. They aim to offer inspiration and models for how one might build a Judaism of meaning. Partnership and collaboration with these brilliant thinkers and compelling leaders, and with the Unbounders who are drawn to this approach, are baked into everything that we do.

The Jewish world that we have known is crashing, and a new Jewish world is on the horizon. But getting there is not inevitable. It will require new ideas, new leaders, and new communities. It will require you.
