Jewish Theology Unbound

from $72.00

with Sofia Freudenstein

When

Wednesdays - 3 Weeks
7:00 - 8:30 pm ET/4:00 - 5:30 pm PT
April 24 · May 1 · May 8

Theology sounds pretty lofty and out there, but it's also (as a professor once told me a long time ago), really just an avenue to talk about what's really important to us and our community. In the span of 3 classes, we will explore Jewish theology through different lens: feminist, queer, and disability. By using the frameworks of different marginized groups, we will see how using the language of theology helps us frame these different ways of seeing the world as holy and spiritually meaningful, as ways to access the deepest parts of ourselves.

This class will be recorded and available to enrolled students to watch later.

Cost

This course is available at a sliding scale cost of $126 (the true cost), $99 or $72.

If you can afford the full price, we hope you will choose that option, which allows us to continue to offer lower rates and scholarships to those who otherwise would not be able to access this learning because of financial barriers.

If you need financial aid beyond the sliding scale, please fill out this simple form, and we will get right back to you.

Meet Sofia

Sofia Freudenstein (she/her) is about(!) to be ordained as a rabbi from Yeshivat Maharat and a masters student in Jewish Philosophy. She sees textual accessibility in the Jewish world as a deeply radical act. She loves talking on the phone with friends and family, being outside birdwatching, and listening (and seeing - as a synesthete!) to music.
